As a teaching associate and professor of Freshman Composition, I think it is critical to emphasize in writing across all spectrums whether creative or theoretical using a decentralized authoritative model in order to give agency to student's personal learning journeys. I also have the great pleasure of being a Supplemental Instructor where I mentor first-year undergraduates much in the same way the show “Scare Tactics” keeps children out of prison: by using the invaluable mistakes I have made all throughout my undergraduate career as warnings.
